Toasst is hiring for a part-time, 3-month intern to support marketing covering Hong Kong.

Reporting directly to Toasst co-founders Amy Powell and Christina Lau Tam, this role is a great opportunity for a current university student or recent graduate with or without wine experience looking to learn more about wine and the direct to consumer wine business model, gain exposure to marketing and consumer relations and build a marketing, content and social media portfolio.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Content Support

  • Development and formatting of monthly tasting note collateral and gift cards (as needed)
  • Email marketing campaign support
  • Ad hoc flyer or eDM image projects
  • Blog post development and management
  • Editing various content pieces including customer emails, monthly and ad hoc EDMs, tasting and pairing notes

 

Social Media

  • Managing the brand’s social accounts across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
  • Help drive organic social following with stories and content campaigns
  • Content creation and content calendar management
  • Liaise with partners on cross promotions, create assets and content
  • Liaise with wineries and distributors for image library

 

Public Relations

  • Press release distribution (as required)
  • Media monitoring and clipping filing

 

Additional

  • Physical and virtual event attendance, coordination and support as needed, including assisting with RSVP, reminder and follow-up emails
  • Set-up of the event, printing of any collateral and assets
  • Presentation support

 

Job Requirements

  • University degree or currently year 2 or 3 student pursuing a full-time university degree course
  • Work experience with sales or general marketing background with a focus on consumer products a plus
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English. Cantonese a plus.
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • Social media savvy with knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Video editing skill a plus
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms including Mailchimp, Squarespace and Klaviyo a plus
  • Interest in marketing, content strategy and development, social media and of course, wine!

 

Key Details:        

  • 3-month contract
  • Part-time, 20 hours per week
  • Stipend provided to cover transportation and meals
  • Opportunity for commission based on new sales generation
  • Opportunity for on-going work on a project basis after successful completion of the contract
